The Ford Fiesta has been a byword for high-performance superminis ever since production began back in 1976. There is plenty to be excited about in the latest version of this dynamic vehicle.
The new Fiesta benefits from Ford's Kinetic Design philosophy, characterised by a streamlined body shape and distinctive upward-swept headlights. Colour choices are generous, with 12 daring and bold shades on offer, while optional alloy wheels add a further touch of style.
The interior's blend of minimalist elegance and technological sophistication creates a serene ambience while hinting at a high level of behind-the-scenes sophistication. Premium heated leather seats, aluminium pedals, and Ford Power Starter Button all contribute to a 'racing' feel. Meanwhile, a central console with Ford SYNC provides entertainment and satellite navigation facilities, without feeling cluttered or obtrusive. Additional technologies include Quickclear, which allows you to get going quickly on cold mornings, as well as voice commands for effortless control over every aspect of the drive.
The latest Fiesta's power and handling are better than ever. With a 1.0-litre petrol engine which can deliver up to 123bhp, the car goes from 0-60mph in less than ten seconds. A 1.6-litre diesel engine unit is also available. But in spite of all this power, the Fiesta remains efficient. Thanks to the implementation of Ford's ECOnetic technology in some engines, CO2 emissions are as low as 87g/km and fuel economy can reach 85.6mpg combined.

The Fiesta has received the top five-star rating from Euro NCAP, thanks to the Ford SYNC feature with Emergency Assistance which can directly call the Emergency Services in the event of an accident – a potentially life-saving innovation. Moreover, Active City Stop serves to prevent collisions at speeds of under 19mph by automatically applying the brakes if the car in front stops suddenly. These systems, as well as the standard airbags and stability programmes, are all managed by the on-board Intelligent Protection System (IPS), making the Fiesta one of the most technologically-advanced cars on the market in terms of safety.
